In 2005, The California Foundation awarded scholarships to three California students attending the following colleges: Texas Southern University, City College of San Francisco, and Xavier University.

     We also awarded grants to the following: Leadership High School (a charter high school located in San Francisco), Our Kids First (a San Francisco after-school program), Cathedral City High School, and West Sacramento School District. We also contributed to the Cathedral School for Boys Annual Giving Campaign.

     We gave to the American Red Cross for California students who were attending school in New Orleans, Louisiana that were displaced by Hurricane Katrina. We also donated clothing to California students attending school in New Orleans, who suffered great loss due to Hurricane Katrina.

     The California Foundation has obtained its California tax exemption from the Franchise Tax Board and its 501 (c) (3) from the U.S. Department of the Treasury. We were only able to accomplish this task because of your generous donations.

     The California Foundation is proud to announce that it has expanded its Board of Directors. We have a diverse and competent Board of Directors: Darius Barron, Justin Bell, Daniel Castillo, Angela Copeland, Ashley Green, Scott Mazzola, and Loran Simon.
