The California Foundation is non-profit organization committed to the fight to preserve and fortify the struggling and declining educational system in the State of California. Every year in California schools are being closed, and they are still closing at an alarming rate. Students are being displaced and classrooms are becoming overcrowded.
Maybe it seems that this has been a problem in California and you’ve heard it all before, but this time it is different. This time young people are taking an active role in order to keep education living, thriving and progressing. The California Foundation knows there is a plethora of ways to ease and abolish this ongoing problem, one of which is to invest in students financially, by way of scholarships and grants to students continuing their education in all stages, pre-school, elementary, middle/junior high, high school, college/university. Secondly, we can improve the educational system by investing financially in educational organizations and institutions that care enough to make strides in their organizations to make education progressive and better for all people. Lastly, the most important and impacting is to encourage and invest financially in current students to become teachers.
The California Foundation’s passion is driven from a deep desire to see the regressing educational system be revived and shifted into a system that is valued, honored, and respected. Our passion is also driven to see people (especially young people) use their education to change our world into a more humane and just place. We are often discouraged when we see negative images on our television screens of young people, but if given the tools and access to achievement these same young people can begin to take life seriously, make change, and create a positive world that their generation will be responsible for. We honestly believe our current educational system is in a state of regression and demise and the best way to reverse this reality is to invest in the leaders of tomorrow today, for they will make change to create a better tomorrow.

There is a natural law, a Divine law, that obliges you and me to relieve the suffering, the distressed and the destitute…Be ever watchful to shelter little children with the umbrella of your charity; be generous to their schools, their hospitals and their places of worship.
